Spark-STEM Holiday Camp

We turn Inspirations to Talent

Spark-STEM Holiday Camp follows a carefully planned learning journey designed to build curiosity, confidence, and understanding through hands-on STEM exploration.

Children aged 5–11 take part in engaging science, technology, engineering, and maths activities, combining creative problem-solving with fun challenges in a supportive environment. Learning extends beyond the classroom with interactive outdoor STEM activities that add excitement and encourage teamwork and movement.

Guided by experienced instructors, children work both independently and in small groups to complete mini STEM projects, all of which they take home. Each day ends with children feeling proud of what they have achieved, inspired by what they have learned, and excited to share their experiences.

Spark-STEM Holiday Camp offers the perfect balance of meaningful learning, creativity, and fun.

Hands on Science Experiments

Designed to spark their curiosity and build confidence whilst having fun every step of the way.

Introduction to Coding

Use Micro:bit through Microsoft MakeCode to learn the basics of how to code.

Engineering Challenges

Children use creativity and ingenuity to design, build, and refine architectural structures, developing strong problem-solving skills along the way.

Mathematics

We embed mathematics across all activities, helping children grow more confident as frequent practice makes it feel easier.

01

SPARK- Ignite Their Curiosity

Dive into exciting STEM activities!

At Spark-STEM holiday camps, each day begins with a high-energy introduction designed to ignite curiosity and set a purposeful tone for learning. Through engaging prompts, creative challenges, storytelling, and real-world demonstrations, children are encouraged to think deeply, ask questions, and explore the “why” behind the day’s theme. This energising start draws children into the experience, helping them feel motivated, confident, and ready to immerse themselves in hands-on STEM projects and challenges throughout the camp day.

02

EXPLORE – Discover Through Play

Experience Diverse STEM mini-activities

During this part of the camp day, children explore the key theme through hands-on experiments, guided discovery, and short STEM challenges. Activities are designed to be active and engaging, encouraging children to investigate new ideas while staying fully involved.

Alongside table-based experiments and problem-solving tasks, children take part in physical challenges that combine movement, teamwork, and mental strategy. Working together, they must think critically, communicate clearly, and collaborate effectively to complete each challenge.

From solving practical maths puzzles to exploring scientific reactions and testing simple engineering ideas, children rotate through experiences that keep energy levels high while strengthening critical thinking and problem-solving skills. By the end of this stage, children will have explored multiple aspects of science, technology, engineering, and maths in a way that feels fun, purposeful, and perfectly suited to a holiday camp environment.

03

CREATE - Build, Make, Invent

Children design, build and create using real materials, robotic kits and engineering tools.

This is where the excitement really kicks in. During this part of the camp day, children roll up their sleeves and dive into building, coding, and inventing — from constructing bridges and coding robots to designing gadgets and bringing their own ideas to life.

Working in teams, children take on high-energy STEM challenges that encourage creativity, collaboration, and plenty of problem-solving along the way. There’s trial and error, laughter, and lots of “let’s try that again” moments as children test ideas and improve their designs.

These hands-on challenges help children build resilience and confidence, while showing them that learning can be fun, active, and rewarding. By the end of the session, children can see, test, and celebrate what they’ve created — leaving camp buzzing with pride and excitement at what they’ve achieved.

04

REFLECT – Think, Share, Understand

Encouraging deep thinking and shared insights

At Spark-STEM holiday camps, reflection is an important part of every camp day. After completing their projects and challenges, children come together to talk about what they built, how it worked, and what they discovered along the way.

These group discussions help children make sense of their learning while building confidence in sharing ideas. By explaining their thinking, listening to others, and offering positive feedback, children strengthen communication skills and deepen their understanding of STEM concepts.

This moment of reflection helps children recognise their progress, learn from each other, and leave the session with a clearer understanding of how their ideas developed — an essential part of turning hands-on activity into meaningful learning.

05

SHINE - Celebrate Every Achievement

We end every session with celebration.

At Spark-STEM holiday camps, every day ends with a moment to celebrate. Children are invited to share what they’ve created, recognising the effort, creativity, and perseverance behind each project and challenge.

This shared celebration creates a positive, supportive atmosphere where children receive encouraging feedback from both peers and instructors. Every contribution is valued, helping children feel proud of their achievements and confident in their abilities.

At the end of the week, the camp concludes with a special showcase session, where children present their work in front of their peers and invited parents. This celebration of learning allows children to reflect on their progress, practise presenting their ideas, and take pride in what they have accomplished — ending the week on a high note and creating a memorable holiday camp experience.
